Open Positions
Division Leader- Each
level (Shetland, pinto, mustang, bronco and if enough players, pony) has a
division leader that will represent
the board. Some of the responsibilities include and are not limited to: help
the coaches at their level, talk to parents, help schedule/reschedule games,
help set up fields and bring concerns from their level (coaches, parents, other
teams etc.) to the executive board for reconciliation. A board member may not
hold division leader position over level that their child plays.
Community Relations - This
person will help maintain the positive relationship between Park Forest
Baseball and Village of Park Forest, members of the communities and businesses.
Some of the responsibilities include and are not limited to serving as the
liaison between Park Forest Baseball and The Village of Park Forest, residents
and businesses. Also help in reserving facilities such as Saint Irenaeus Church
and Village Hall, notifying Village, Fire Department and Police department of
parades and events as needed.
Concessions Manager -
This person(s) will be responsible for the operation and management of the concession
stand. Some of the responsibilities include and are not limited to: scheduling
coverage during home games, inventory, follow a spending budget, purchasing and
restocking supplies and becoming certified for safe handling food sanitation.
The Concession Manager officers are voting general board members.
Field Maintenance and
Preparation Manager - This person is
responsible for maintaining the conditions of our home fields and ensuring that
fields are prepared and ready for games. Some of the responsibilities include
and are not limited to: dragging and striping the fields, staking bases on
fields, scheduling volunteers to help with field preparation and maintenance, sweeping
dugouts after games and making sure maintenance and field preparation equipment
and bases are securely locked when not in use. Field Maintenance and
Preparation Manager is a non-voting general board member.
Fundraiser Chairman- This
person is responsible for organizing fundraisers to participate in throughout
the year to offset expenses and to fund special events. Some of the responsibilities
included and are not limited to proposing fundraising activities to board, plan
and organize activities, and work with a committee of volunteers. The
Fundraiser Chairman is a general board member.
Equipment Manager- This
person will be the go to person for all equipment needs. Some of the
responsibilities include and are not limited to organizing, cleaning and
repairing equipment. They will also be responsible for passing out and
receiving equipment from the coaches. They will also have keys to the storage
building. The Equipment Manager is a non-voting general board member.
